Project Description and Scope:
The State Group was contracted to perform excavation, installation of new piles, civil foundations and slabs, grounding and buried services work associated with the Wet Gas Cleaning Plant, the Acid Plant, the Flues and Ducts and the 6″ HDPE slurry line which began in October of 2015 and has recently reached substantial completion.
The work was conducted between the Smelter Converter Building and the Acid Plant, as well as within the vicinity of the Filter Plant and the Clarabelle Booster Station at the Vale Smelter in Copper Cliff, Ontario.
