Project Description and Scope:
TransCanada has embarked on the upgrading of their existing Meter Station facilities to ensure compliance with current NEB regulations.
The State Group was contracted in 2017 to commence work on these upgrades which continued into 2020. The scope of work included removal of existing Barton 1140 flow computer and installation of new ABB Totalflow 6201EX flow computer (inclusive of electrical and mechanical system upgrades), upgrade of existing Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) with Measurement Canada approved model and upgrade of existing meter station communication system.
The State Group will be working with TransCanada in the upcoming years on this multi‐year replacement program throughout Ontario.
