Project Description and Scope:

The State Group began working with the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in 2003 with the “Relocations Project” which was part of the Renaissance Project. In collaboration with the general contractor, The State Group’s scope of work included electrical upgrades and the installation of fire alarm and security systems.

Since 2009, The State Group has been a prime contractor at the ROM providing renovation services in the Heritage Building and the new Crystal addition, as well as extending the life safety/security systems into all parts of the facility. The State Group also provides ongoing maintenance to the electrical systems within the complex.

The State Group has developed an intimate understanding of the ROM’s ongoing progression from old to new technologies. This enables The State Group to respond quickly to upgrade and maintenance requirements in a cost effective and efficient manner.

As the ROM continues to evolve to meet the needs of the public, The State Group continues to participate in the long‐term evolution of this important institution.
