Project Description and Scope:
The State Group served as the Prime Contractor for this Design build project for End of Life Refresh of an existing electrical distribution system.
New PDU rooms were built to house the replacement electrical distribution equipment (PDUs), complete with new feeder source. New RPPs complete with new feeder source were installed within the operating Data Hall, with approximately 1800 new power whips to all existing servers.
State Group installed new mechanical equipment, duct work, and a new power monitoring system as well as upgraded BAS system to new AHU equipment. A new Pre‐Action Sprinkler system was installed.
Added to the project scope was the replacement of the MV UPS batteries, complete with all testing and upgrading of the MV UPS equipment programming. Extensive commissioning was required prior to all the new equipment being placed on line. Additionally, the front offices of the Data center were also renovated both electrically and mechanically.
