Project Description and Scope:

The State Group was contracted by Hydro One to construct a new Medium Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear Building at the London Nelson Transmission Station in London, Ontario.

The State Group was the Constructor for this project and responsible for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), including field inspections and commissioning.

The design of foundations, piling, precast structures, masonry, roof, interior finishes, computer flooring, electrical, fire alarm system, and mechanical building services were thoroughly engineered and executed.

Major work activities under the direct supervision of The State Group management team included excavation, foundations, drainage piping, precast building structure, roofing, and painting.  The State Group self performed base building mechanical, HVAC, electrical services, and system grounding.

Upon completion of the construction and system commissioning, The State Group provided building system operation training to Hydro One.
