Owner: | Bruce Power |
Trades: | Multi‐trade |
Date: | April 2014 |
Project Description and Scope:
This facility was constructed by a Joint Venture Partnership with The State Group and Worley Parsons Canada. The equipment was designed and supplied by Veolia Water Solutions, one of the world leaders in water treatment technology.
This project was awarded to the Partnership after a competitive bid process and was won based upon a number of criteria, including price, technology and project management capabilities. The design and engineering was developed in conjunction with Bruce Power and was based upon very stringent requirements for water process systems to supply the Nuclear generation facility.
The Joint Venture was the EPC contractor. The State Group personnel were directly involved for over six months with Worley Parsons at their offices to ensure designs met constructability. The practical experience and the professional project management skills demonstrated by The State Group meshed perfectly with the extensive global capabilities of Worley Parsons in the process water treatment sector.
The State Group was responsible for the construction of all foundations, buildings and process equipment installations. Our JV Partnership was directly involved in the commissioning and start‐up of the finished facility.
