Project Description and Scope:
The Bell Aliant Data Center project consisted of the Design/Build of a greenfield purpose built, Uptime Certified, Tier 3 facility. The data center was designed to be built in two phases, with the first phase completed with approximately 7,000 square feet of IT space.
The State Group’s scope consisted of all civil, structural, electrical and mechanical services.
The electrical scope included the installation of Power Distribution Equipment, Security, CCTV, Life Safety and Critical Systems Infrastructure.
The mechanical scope involved the installation of Cooling/HVAC Equipment with associated piping and controls, as well as Diesel Fuel System.
The State Group acted as the General Contractor in partnership with IBM Global Services, the Prime vendor contractor for the design, build and commissioning of this greenfield colocation data center.
