State Group is founded as an electrical services contractor in Toronto, Ontario

1962

State Group enters the Automotive industry with business at Ford in Oakville, Ontario

1965

State Group enters the Metals/Mining industry with business at Dofasco (now ArcelorMittal) in Hamilton, Ontario

1970

State Group evolves to a multi-trade contractor, pioneering the single source construction solution model

1973

State Group enters the Transportation industry with business at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

1988

State Group enters the Power/Energy industry working with various clients completing high voltage and substation work

1996

State Group opens its US Head Office in Evansville, Indiana

1997

State Group becomes the first ISO 9001 Registered Multi-Trade Contractor in North America

2001

State Group enters the Data Center industry with business at Telus TIDC in Toronto, Ontario

2004

State Group enters the Pipeline industry with business in Wisconsin

State Group receives COR certification
