Project Description and Scope:
The scope for this project consisted of the installation of all the electrical and piping for the new rebuilt generator at Sir Adam Beck I. This entailed unloading, assembly, filling, and de‐gasification of the main output transformer.
State Group was also responsible for the installation of all the high and low voltage bus work, all the cable tray, cables, PLC equipment, and distribution panels.
The piping scope involved the demolition, replacement and modification of the generator cooling water, thrust bearing cooling water, turbine cooling water, air brake piping, and miscellaneous piping systems.
