PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project involved the installation of 3 - 180 MW Westinghouse 501F Gas Turbine/Generators with all supporting facilities. 1 unit had a Hydrogen Cooled Generator, and the other 2 units were newly designed 501FD Gas Turbines with Airopac Generators. All three generators had Evaporative Cooling and Demin Water Injection to reduce emissions. Power was tied into a TVA 400 KV Main Grid.
The State Group Inc. performed all civil foundation installations, all electrical work and all mechanical and piping installations.
The contract was on a cost reimbursable basis and employed labor from the local building trades.

Approximately 300,000 man hours were spent, with a peak of approximately 280 State tradesmen.

The start date on this project was November 1999 and was completed in June 2000, 6 weeks ahead of schedule despite a 5 week late start.

This site is located in NW Tennessee.
