This facility is being constructed by a Joint Venture Partnership with The State Group and Worley Parsons Canada. The buildings are completed and the installation of the equipment is in its latter stages. The equipment is designed and supplied by Veolia Water Solutions, one of the world leaders in water treatment technology.

This project was awarded to the Partnership after a competitive bid process and was won based upon a number of criteria, including price, technology and project management capabilities. The design and engineering was developed in conjunction with Bruce Power and was based upon very stringent requirements for water process systems to supply the Nuclear generation facility.

The Joint Venture is the prime contractor.  The State Group personnel were directly involved for over six months with Worley Parsons at their offices to ensure designs met constructability. The practical experience and the professional project management skills demonstrated by The State Group meshed perfectly with the extensive global capabilities of Worley Parsons in the process water treatment sector.

This facility is designed to draw raw water from Lake Huron where it will flow through a state of the art process and create ultra-pure demineralize water to a maximum of 6,912 Cubic Meter / Day. The water is pumped to the storage tank facility at Bruce “B” to feed the boiler systems. The State Group is responsible for the construction of all foundations, buildings and process equipment installations. Our JV Partnership will then be directly involved in the commissioning and startup of the finished facility.
