METRO TORONTO CONVENTION CENTRE
LOCATION:     Toronto, ON
CLIENT: Eastern Construction
VALUE: $11,500,000
TRADES: Electrical

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is Canada`s largest convention centre which is located in Toronto`s dynamic downtown core. The kitchen catering has the capability to serve up to 7,000, parking can accommodate 1,200 cars and you can drive your truck up onto the Exhibit Floor. The Centre is located in the heart of Toronto`s downtown and the business district, making it easy to access the rest of the city by public transportation and very close to major roadways and Union Station for the out-of-town travelers.
The State Group Inc. was the prime electrical contractor for this unique convention center project. Being the largest convention center in the province of Ontario, this project was complex as well as challenging due to the aggressive construction schedules and being situated in the downtown core of Toronto.
The State Group installed all main power, power distribution, emergency power, UPS systems, data risers and distribution, telephone systems as well as the fire alarm and security systems for the entire complex.

The facility included special technologies that supported the trade show and business meeting clientele. This facility continues to evolve through a new major addition as well as special event facilities. The State Group managed all installation details to the complete satisfaction of the owners.
